Perkstreet Financial Review

Hi, my name is Rene, the owner of this finance blog. Are you looking for the perfect online checking bank account with the best reward program out there? I don’t know about you but I was paying

$400 a Year in Service Charges and FEES on Both my Personal & Business Bank accounts

Most personal bank accounts and interest rates are so low, many budget savvy consumers are looking into banking online rather than go to their local bank or credit union. Would you like to get as much as 5% cash back on the balance of your personal checking account? I switched over to Perkstreet Financial because I was tired of paying hundreds of dollars a year in service fees and not getting great service.

I love Getting 2% Cash Back!

Once you sign up for the Perkstreet Financial Debit Card, you will be considered an account holder. Whether you are making a bill payment or shopping that perfect Christmas gift for you partner, you will receive 2% cash back on all your purchases and bill payments.

How Does the cash back reward Work?

For the first three months, when you make purchases with you debit card and not use a PIN number for the transaction, you will earn 2% cash back. I took advantage of the fact that for the first 3 months, I can earn an unlimited amount of cash back. I had to buy a MacBook Pro, A Vizio 60 inch LCD tv, a new guitar plus $2,000 worth of tools for going to plumbing school. Let me tell you, it was sweet to get the cash back for all those purchases.

Do I have to have a Balance of $5,000 in the first 3 months to qualify for 2% cash back?

PerkStreet Financial(SM) MasterCard® Debit Card

NO

You could have any amount even as low as $500 in your account and you will get 2% cash back.

After the first 3 months..

You can continue to earn 2% in cash back. As long as you have a running balance of $5,000 or more?

What happens when your balance drops below $5,000?

Instead of earning 2% you will earn 1% cash back on non-PIN debit card transactions.

What do they mean by non-PIN debit card transactions

For instance, I go to my Food Co-Op everyday to buy my groceries. I like fresh food so when the casher asks me: Do you want to pay for this with your debit or credit?

I say, Credit

For instance, if I have a balance of only $2000 the first month I have opened the Perkstreet Financial Debit card checking account. And my grocery bill comes out to $75. I just say to the clerk, credit. And the $75 will be taken out of my Perkstreet financial online checking account and I did not enter a 4 Digit PIN Number. This is a non-PIN debit card transaction

Can I earn an unlimited amount of cash back as long as my balance is over $5,000?

YES!

The credit union that was charging me $400 a year on service charges certainly did not have a cash back rewards program for account holders.
